Game lore

Game lore is an essential element of any game. Lore is the story of the universe in which the game takes place. He rarely sells the game, but the deep and thoughtful lore is able to attract a fairly large audience to the game. Lore is especially important for RPG games.

Game lore makes the world alive because all living things have a story. Of course, game lore is not important for a number of games. Usually, these are games whose action takes place in our world and therefore does not need lore (such games include GTA, Call of duty, etc.). At the same time, we have many games that benefit greatly from their lore. And I'm going to review a few of them.

When it comes to game lore, I immediately think of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

The Dawn of war series has won a lot thanks to the rich lore of Warhammer 40,000. And the history of this universe is truly immense. A huge number of books, board games, comics, and video games all complement the already rich lore, which makes it even difficult to get into it, but it is still extremely interesting.

Another game with rich lore is The Elder Scrolls.

The first game in the series was released in 1994 and since then the game's lore has become much richer. A huge fantasy world, atypical races for fantasy, Dwemer ruins, assassins guilds, and more makes the universe of the Elder Scrolls deep and interesting to study.
